This race will be the largest paying race in Spoon’s history paying the Late Model feature winner $22,022. With Lucas Oil and World of Outlaws off this week we are expecting a huge car count with the best dirt car late model drivers in the nation in attendance. This is definitely one you won’t want to miss. Filling out the racing card that night will be the Modifieds.
The MARS Super Late Models will make three appearances at Spoon in 2022. The first event will be at the Gary Cook Jr Memorial on Memorial Day weekend May 29th. The MARS Super Late Models will Invade the Spoon for two nights this weekend Friday Sept 24th and Sat Sept 25th to Crown their 2021 Champion. Some of the best dirt late models drives will be on hand running both nights for $5000 to win each night. Spoon will also conclude their 2021 season this weekend with the Dirtcar Pro L/M's, Dirtcar Hornets and the E/B Mods runnning both nights with the Supers and then on Saturday night the Dirtcar Modifeds will join in on the action. Spoon has been super fast and smooth all year and this weekend doesnt look to be any differant. Tight races are still up for grab for Spoons track championships. Dave Wietholder holds a slim 8 point lead over Ray Bollinger in the Dirtcar Modifieds. Tucker Clark is also in a tough point battle with David Lauritson with only 12 points between them. In the Dirtcar Pro Lates Brandon Eskew holds a 38 point lead over Cody McGuire and in the E/B Mod class Todd O'Neill holds a 34 point lead over Kevin Anderson. There are other positions that could jocky around in the last two races of the year. Lots of excitement in all divisions that you won't want to miss at the Spoon this weekend. Two great nights of racing action. Hope to see everyone at the Spoon for the final races of the 2021 season!!
