Monster Mash-A-Mania sponsored by Fulton Farm Service and Bartonville Express Lube is just two weeks away. Don’t forget to get your pre-registration mailed in by Oct 5th. They can be found on Spoon’s website under the rules tab. Free camping Friday and Saturday nights. Bone fire Friday night after racing action is completed. This will be the last race of the 2019 season. Fast Qualifier in the Hornets and E-Mods will receive $50. The SpeeD2 Fast Qualifier Thanks to Prairie State Bank and Trust of Fulton County will receive $200. Heat race winners will pick up an extra $30, second $20 and third $10. Car in each division that advances farthest in shuffle will receive an extra $25. Shuffle winners will receive $30. Stay tuned for anymore additions to the racing action. Make up day announced for Plow Boy Nationals
29TH Modified Plow Boy Nationals to be ran on Monday Afternoon Sept 2nd
After saturating rains on Sunday morning and no sunshine Spoon River Speedway Officials were forced to cancel Sunday Nights race and use their makeup date of Monday Sept 2nd. With no one else racing on Monday Spoon is expecting a huge field of cars in all four divisions that will be competing. Modifieds will still be running for 50 laps for $5000 to win. The Super Late Models will be running 25 laps for $2000 to win. Also on hand will be the USAC/IMRA SpeeD2 Midgets and the Hornets. To hopefully get done earlier we have moved times earlier in the day.
Pits will Open at 11 am. End of draw is 2:15

Followed by TT
Racing to begin around 4:30

The 29th running of The DirtCar Modified Plow Boy Nationals, formally the Fall Nationals, will be held on Sunday Night Sept 1st (Rain Date Sept 2nd)at the High Banked 3/8’s mile oval of the Spoon River Speedway. Top Modified drivers from all over the national are expected to compete for the $5000 to win fifty lap feature event. One Modified driver will also get the chance to go to the rear and if they can win pick up an extra $2000. There will also be two ten lap $250 to win non-feature qualifier races for the Modifieds. This is one of Spoons biggest races that you won’t want to miss. Also on hand will be the DirtCar Super Late Models running twenty five laps for $2000 to Win, the USAC/IMRA SpeeD2 Midgets and the DirtCar Hornets. Times and prices are listed on the flyer. Yes you are reading it right, its FREE, Yes FREE Grandstands General Admission this Saturday Night. Make sure to invite a friend and their family to the track or as Slinging Dirt at Security Photo's says "Its not $25 a car load, it's not $10 admission or even $5 admission, ITS FREE Admission to the Grandstands!! Invite your family and friends, heck invite them even if there not your friend". Lets pack these stands. What a great reward to our Loyal Fan's and Kids and any new comer this Saturday night. FILL THE STANDS
This 23rd running of the DirtCar Summer Nationals at Spoon River Speedway will take place this Thursday night June 20th. Many of the top dirt car drivers in the nation are expected for this spectacular event at the high banked oval. Last years winner Shannon Babb is expected to return a long with former winners like Bobby Pierce, Jason Feger, Billy Moyer Sr and hard chargers like Frank Heckenest Jr, Allan Weisser, Mike Chasteen Jr and many more. Only one race has been completed since the start of the 27 race schedule in 32 days so a nice field of cars are expected. Babb leads drivers in Summer National wins at Spoon with 4 with Billy Moyer right behind him with 3. Who will bring home the checkered flag in 2019?
Also on hand will be the exciting Summit Dirtcar Modifieds which always put on a great 3 and 4 wide show for the fans. Look for drivers following the tour like Kenny Wallace, Nick Hoffman, Allan Weisser, Will Krup, Ray Bollinger, Tyler Nicely a long with many of the local drivers to try and bring home the win.
The DirtCar Hornets will fill out the racing card for Thursday night.
Pits open at 2. Grandstands at 4. Hot Laps are scheduled for 6:15 followed by Late Model Time Trials with racing to begin around 7.
