This Saturday Night August 20th the Fans will be treated to not only a great night of racing actions but they will get to meet the drivers that race the high banks of the Spoon for only a $5 General Admission ticket sponsored by FCFB. Classes racing, times and prices are listed on the flyer. Quick Draw format
3 segments of racing for all classes.
Modifieds and Pro Lates will run three 15 lap segments.
E/B Mods will run three 10 lap segments.
Hornets will run three 8 lap segments.
Kid Mods will run three 6 lap segments
No Time Trials. Hot Laps only.
Everyone will draw when you get your transponder for starting spot in 1st segment.
2nd segment will be inverted by how you finish 1st segment.
3rd segment will be inverted by how you finish 2nd segment.
Point will be added for your finish in each segment to determine the final finishing order of your division.
If you drop out of a segment you will be allowed to run the next segment.
Feature rules will apply to each segment.
Purse will be posted on the website under the rules tab for this race.
This will be the fourth race out of six for the Modified Challenge.
It’s a race the fans love because of all the passing. You don’t have to finish first in all the segments to become the overall winner, just collect the most points. Some drivers love it some don’t but this race has been a tradition at Spoon for over 20 years. We hope you will enjoy it and have fun. Times and admission prices are listed on the flyer.

EXTREME TEMPERATURES FORCE POSTPONEMENT OF TOM KNOWLES MEMORIAL
July 21, 2022 (Canton, IL) With forecasted temperatures on Saturday around 100℉ and heat indices between 105℉ and 110℉, Spoon River Speedway officials have made the decision to postpone the 35th Annual Tom Knowles Memorial.
“The safety of our drivers, workers and fans alike is of utmost importance”, said SRS Promoter Brad Denney.
The event will now take place on September 17, moving the event back to its normal fall-time race date. The Morrow Brothers Ford MOWA Sprint Car Series and MARS Late Models will run for $3,000 to win. DIRTcar UMP Modifieds will close out their six-race Modified Challenge series with a $3,000 to win race. E/B Mods will race for $1,000 to win and lastly the USAC/IMRA SpeeD2 Midgets will battle for a $1,500 top prize in the annual running of the Hull/Trone Memorial.
Spoon River Speedway will sit dormant for one more week, on July 31, due to the Fulton County Fair. Racing action will resume on August 6 with Kids Back Pack Night and the running of the Greg Gilmore Memorial.

The Summer Nationals Hell Tour invades the High Banks of the Spoon River Speedway Thursday Night June 23rd. The Dirtcar Super Late Models will be running for $5000 to win. Look for some of the best Late Model drivers to be on hand for this event. Also running will be the Summit Dirtcar Modifieds with the feature winner picking up $1500. Filling out the race card will be the E/B Mods running for $500 to win and $100 to start.

The Gary Cook Jr Memorial Special this Sunday Night May 29th. Modifieds run for $2564 to win and $200 to start. MARS Super Late Models will run for $5064 to win. Also on hand will be the Pro Late Models for $564 to win and $100 to start, the E-Mods for $564 to win and $100 to start, the USAC/IMAS SpeeD2 Midgets $564 to win and $100 to start and the Hornets for $164 to win.
