Spoon River Tentative Schedule Released

Castrol Oil Night in America
A exciting Tentative 2022 race season has been released by Spoon River Speedway. A long with the always exciting weekly program of Modifieds, Pro Late Models, E-Mods, Hornets and the IMRA SpeeD2 Midgets will also be back with their dates marked in red when confirmed. Lots of work is going on at the Spoon this fall, New clay is being added to both turns and front stretch. We are in the process of adding additional bleachers on the west and east ends of the grandstands and hopefully a few more in the pits. We will also be putting up a new catch fence on the front stretch with new lighting and speakers. The first huge race at Spoon will be on May 11th Castrol Oil FloRacing Night in America invading the high banks for $22,022 to win for the Super Late Models. This will be the largest payout in Spoon's history. Also running will be the Modifieds for $3000 to win and the E-Mods for $500 to win. We are working on reserved seat ticket sales for the top 5 rows. Reserve seat tickets will also give you access to the pits. You will also be able to purchase general admission tickets when the system gets setup for this race and hopefully we will be able to do this for future big races.

MARS / Spoon Season Championship Weekend

Season Championship Weekend
The MARS Super Late Models will Invade the Spoon for two nights this weekend Friday Sept 24th and Sat Sept 25th to Crown their 2021 Champion. Some of the best dirt late models drives will be on hand running both nights for $5000 to win each night. Spoon will also conclude their 2021 season this weekend with the Dirtcar Pro L/M's, Dirtcar Hornets and the E/B Mods running both nights with the Supers and then on Saturday night the Dirtcar Modifeds will join in on the action. Spoon has been super fast and smooth all year and this weekend doesn't look to be any different. Tight races are still up for grab for Spoons track championships. Dave Wietholder holds a slim 8 point lead over Ray Bollinger in the Dirtcar Modifieds. Tucker Clark is also in a tough point battle with David Lauritson with only 12 points between them. In the Dirtcar Pro Lates Brandon Eskew holds a 38 point lead over Cody McGuire and in the E/B Mod class Todd O'Neill holds a 34 point lead over Kevin Anderson. There are other positions that could jockey around in the last two races of the year. Lots of excitement in all divisions that you won't want to miss at the Spoon this weekend. Two great nights of racing action. Hope to see everyone at the Spoon for the final races of the 2021.
Camping will be allowed one row long against bean field and a long fence outside turn 4.
